On this day in history…030265 40105 as 305 worked a Swanbourne Yard-Luton coal train as far as Bedford, via the Bletchley-Bedford branch, which we believe was rare for 40’s even then.

Current Gen –

Ledburn Jn bridge 139  Although still accessible upside (East) view are very limited due bridgeworks as at 240110. Work looks set to last a few weeks. With tree growth obscuring all up views from the West Side of the bridge, only down views are really practicable at this location. Parking is also restricted.

Virgin “real train”-Originally quoted as ending in Jan 09, it appears as if the hauled rake fresh from the wheel lathe at Stonebridge Park could be out all day for a while yet.

321416 throws a spanner in the works…Last week saw some peak hour disruption..On 2701 321416 leading the 1714 Euston-Tring was failed at Harrow. After 30 minutes blocking the DS the power car was reset and progress resumed. Following behind was 92037 dragging 59201 on 6X77 with a rare burst of DF running through Harrow. The 1747 Euston-Watford 2 x 350 was also DF, even when reversing at Watford Jn, A few Pendos delayed …..
